Ubuntu. I am still at LTS 16.04, I guess I will upgrade to the new LTS version one of these months, and adapt to GNOME. Whatever. Ubuntu, Linux in general and iPhone…it has always been somewhat of a problem to transfer my photos from my iPhone to my Ubuntu 16.04 computer. Alwas had to use workarounds, e.g. Dropbox ,whatever. Just now, I just plugged in my iPhone. And guess what. I got a message on my iPhone: enter your iPhone unlock code, for the computer to get access to your iPhone. I did. Immediately, I had access to my iPhone DCIM folder -> from which I can copy or whatever photos to my local Ubuntu computer! Did I do anything special? No. I just kept applying updates to my Ubuntu 16.04. Canonical and Ubuntu desktop is still alive, and development is still going on! Thanks Canonical!Schermafdruk van 2018-02-04 17-48-28
