Creating high quality 3D shapes for Dia

Dia is an excellent Open Source alternative to commercial diagramming programs such as Microsoft Visio. I use Dia  a lot for creating flowcharts and network diagrams. One of the drawbacks of the program, however, is that the default icon sets are not as beautiful as the threedimensional icons of Visio, for example. This article shows how to create custom shapes for Dia. The beauty of the shapes will simply depend on your base 3D image. Just click on Creating high quality 3D custom shapes for Dia to open the article. Have fun!
